Bananas

B A N A N A S        Do you have Gwen Stefani, singing Hollaback Girl, in your head right now? Good cause she’s been stuck in my head for a couple of days now and she’s getting annoying 🙂

Did you ever hear the Chris Moyles parody of that song? Instead of spelling bananas he spelled potatoes and the song was all about moving stuff. ‘few times I’ve been round your flat you end up making me move your crap- well I aint not heavin that girl. I aint not heavin that girl. Ooh ooh. . .’ Yep. Classic.

So back to the bananas.

There was banana porridge:

A smoothie:

1/2 cup frozen raspberries

1/2 cup vanilla yoghurt

1 cup orange juice

1 banana

A little sweet but very refreshing.

A gratuitous banana guard shot:

*Edited to say: That’s supposed to say me+ smelly application forms = bananas. I just realised you can’t read it!

The other thing driving me bananas? I can’t seem to comment on blogger blogs. They say my openID cannot be verified. It’s very annoying!

Something not driving me bananas? All the lovely comments I got about my unemployment- thank you! I had to go in this morning and sign on for the first time (even though I was only in yesterday – strikes me as wierd too) and I have to tell you I was a little disappointed. There was no queue, I did not see men tapping their feet and humming along to Donna Summer and not one person looked like they could be a stripper. Well maybe I did? So anyway I went on youtube to find a clip of the scene I am referencing and could only find it in Spanish. Never mind!

Another thing not driving me bananas? I went to the gym this morning, had a great work-out and was told I am looking great! Then tonight I nipped over to tesco and met one of my Mum’s friends who said I’m looking fantastic! So maybe I won’t quit the gym just yet . . .

Do you ever get songs stuck in your head? Which ones? I think I’ll have Gwen spelling bananas in my head every time I eat a banana . . . and Chris Moyles spelling potato every time I eat potato 🙂

You’ve got me singing that gwen steffani song now too! Very disapointed your trip to the job centre did not involve dancing stripers and donna summer, I’m sure that would have made the experience a lot more enjoyable. Hope you can start commenting again soon!

Currently I have MGMT’s “Kids” stuck in my head – you know how sometimes you get a song which follows you about for a day, you hear it on tv and in shops etc? That one has been following me for a few days!!

Your banana guard always makes me giggle, don’t ask me why!

It has that affect on people! I think I might have to start posing it with other pieces of fruit 😉

Thanks, now the song is stuck in my head. 😛 I get songs stuck in my head all the time and usually stupid commercial jingles! Anyway, the smoothie looks great, I put frozen banana slices in mine this morning.
