Bad Breath

17 Apr

I was going to post last night and then got dragged out for a drink 🙂 I didn’t complain but if I’d had prior warning I wouldn’t have eaten garlic and onion with my tea!

Yesterday’s Eats

Lunch= toast and marmite 🙂

Snack = unpictured cereal bar

Dinner = Sweet Potato Gnochi and salad

These photos have to be huge to show you the wonders that are my salad and gnochi- truly scrumptious!

In the salad:

bagged mixed lettuce

red onion

celery

carrot

cucumber

cashews

As for the gnochi, I am going to save that for another post. I originally made it on April 9th and froze it. I’ll give a full account later today or tomorrow.

Dessert = strawberry fro-yo from Co-op

Dessert Dessert = vodka, lime and ginger beer 🙂

Yesterdays Activities

Tesco

How healthy does that shop look? I swear I didn’t leave anything out of the picture (though I did take some oatmeal cookies out of the freezer for snackage)

Recycling

Just send me a halo now 🙂

Workout

Health and Fitness magazine’s lower body blast. To be quite honest with you I don’t think it did anything. I did a plank for Laura’s Core Challenge and can now go 25secs instead of 18. But I was cursing the alarm clock under my nose the whole time! Laura has even better news- she’s been offered a new job- well done Laura!

Pub- Unpictured.

I’ll be back later with today’s eats and a story about some gnochi 🙂

Random thought of the day: If I’d called my blog Healthy At Thirty it could have been shortened to HAT, now I’m stuck with TAH.

Have you seen the photos of Retouched and Untouched Britney?

I think she is fantastic for letting us see the real shots, click here to see them, I’m not able to copy a pic.

I hope everyone is having a great Saturday 🙂

    That salad looks really tasty! Your shop looks very good as well, I always wish I didnt have to buy crap for my husband, it taints my perfect trolley load of healthy food! I have seen those pictures of Britney, its amazing how much airbrushing goes on, and people wonder why girls and women have body image issues? Its crazy! Well done on your plank! x

    Thanks for the shout out :D! Well done on your plank too, I always try to ignore the timer on my phone cause in many ways it makes it harder to stay up cause if you set yourself a goal and it starts hurting way before the goal you get all defeatist and think you can’t do it when maybe you can if you ignore the time… does that make any sense?

    Haha I thought that about my blog initials… it would be BRE which is really far too close to BRA! And it doesn’t sound very good…. Oh well!

    Very virtuous shopping!

    I hadn’t seen the Britney pics until you posted them and I have to say I’m amazed! What’s wrong with the ‘before’ pics? If I had a body like that I’d be more than happy!!! I understand why they airbrush the colour to make skin look smooth (even then, her tiny bumps are nothing compared to my cellulite!!) but why make her so thin? It’s a sad reflection on what we value in terms of image really 😦

      I just thought she looked really silly in the ‘before’ pics- like Barbie. Nothing compared to my cellulite either but I do think that by the time you get to our age it’s natural, no matter what your size!

    I love your new pics and colour here!!!!!

    I’d be happy to have Britneys body even in the BEFORE pictures, she has a super hot body and I really don’t understand what is there to fix.

      Hello stranger! I bought them from a web site but I can’t remember which! I had seen them in a homes magazine.
